  • The unit is situated within walking distance from the supermarket and restaurants.
  • It is a spacious, open plan, 6 sleeper Non-Smoking unit.
  • The lounge, main bedroom and second bedroom all have their own sliding doors that open onto the patio and private garden with sea view.
  • The fully equipped kitchen has a glass top stove, oven microwave, fridge / freezer, icemaker, washing machine and a tumble dryer.
  • Attached to the kitchen, there is a large dining room table with 6 chairs.
  • There is fully ducted air conditioning throughout the unit.
  • The lounge has a 7 seater corner unit, 2 coffee tables, a TV, DSTV decoders and a DVD machine.
  • There is an eight seater patio table and chairs, with braai facilities.
  • There is also a private entrance gate, electric fencing and alarm system.
  • The main bedroom has a king-size bed with a dressing table, safe, walk-through dressing area and en-suite bathroom with shower, basin and toilet.
  • Bedroom two is designed to be either twins or king bed with dressing table.
  • Bedroom 3 has 2 x ¾ beds with dressing table and a hair dryer included.
  • All the rooms have ceiling fans and central air-conditioning.

Directions to Unit 55 La Pirogue in Ballito:

Distance: Approx. 35 km from Durban. Please note this route has toll roads.

Head North East on Umhlanga Rocks Drive/M12 toward Ilala Drive/Somerset drive. (1.4km) Then Turn left onto Hambridge Avenue (40m). At the roundabout, continue straight to stay on Hambridge Avenue-130m
At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the M41 Mount Edgecombe/N2 ramp.(60m)-270m, Merge onto M41-750m.
Take the N2 exit partial toll road -27km. Take exit 210 toward M4/Ballito/Compensation-550m.
Use any lane to turn right onto Ballito drive (partial toll road-750m).
Continue straight on Ballito Drive for 800m. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Simbithi drive-80m. At the roundabout take the third exit onto Leonara Drive (1.5km). Turn right on Dolphin Crescent-500m. Turn right onto Compensation Beach road (120m) .

You have reached your destination at 97 Compensation Beach road!!

Destination will be on your right.

Alternative route:

From the King Shaka International airport join the N2 North to Stanger. Take the Ballito/Compensation off-ramp where you will reach a stop street. Turn right at the stop street and proceed over the bridge into Ballito Drive. Continue along Ballito Drive where you will cross three traffic circles. Continue for another _+ 2km after the 3rd circle until you reach a T junction where you turn right. Continue until you reach a four way stop.
Turn left into Compensation Beach Road. La Pirogue is 1 km down the road on the right.

1. This is a strictly non-smoking unit.

4. Season rates are charged per night and vary accordingly.

5. Arrival time: From 14h00. If the apartment is available on that particular date.

6. Departure time: No later than 10:00 unless otherwise arranged per email. Earlier arrivals or later departures can only be arranged a maximum of 2 days in advance.

7. Tenants will be held responsible for any damages to the property, appliances, shortages due to theft, breakages etc. Please keep all doors and windows closed when you are not in the unit. Also, occasionally monkeys may try to get into the unit and cause damage.

8. No pets are allowed.

9. No students/ matriculants are allowed.

10. Overcrowding is not allowed. The maximum number of persons (children included) must not exceed 6 and couches may not be used as beds.

11. Any misbehaviour or disturbance will lead to immediate evacuation.

12. Prior to departure, please ensure that the unit is locked and air-conditioners are switched off and unit is left in the same condition as it was upon arrival.

13. Faulty appliances and TV’s will be attended to a.s.a.p. but no refunds or discounts will be made in this regard.

14. Bedding is provided and it is changed weekly. Towels are also provided.

15. No refuse bags will be collected. Please place them in the refuse
bins on the Northern side of the basement parking.

16. The unit is only cleaned twice, if no additional tenant paid cleaning is arranged. That is a pre-arrival cleaning and a cleaning after check out.

16.1 Daily cleaning can be arranged through our cleaning services at your own cost.
16.2 Please note do not adjust the fridge settings.

17. This form, which will be transmitted electronically, will on transmission constitute a binding legal contract.

18. I reserve the right to cancel this reservation at any time without notice, should it become apparent that the unit is being occupied by other persons than that specified in the booking form. In such a
case the deposit will be retained without prejudice to a claim for damages for loss of rental for the unexpired term of the tenancy, and all guests will be obliged to vacate the premises.

19. Should there be more occupants than the agreed-upon number of occupants, it will be considered a breach of the contract and the tenants may be evicted and penalised against the deposit.

20. Indemnity: It is specifically understood that the owner is hereby indemnified against any claim for damages arising from the use of the property including all its appliances, it being specifically understood that the same being used at the sole risk of the tenant.

21. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. The balance is due 30 days before arrival.

22. Cancellation policy: If you cancel 30 days or closer to your arrival date, your deposit will not be refunded.

23. No credit card facilities. Only EFT or electronic payment only.

24. Key collection and directions will be sent to guests closer to your arrival date.

Please note that each guest is required to pay a refundable deposit of R1000, over and above the amount due for the stay. Should no damages have occurred upon inspection, the deposit will be paid back within 14 days of departure.

There is also a non-refundable compulsory check out cleaning fee of R350.00 payable together with the refundable deposit.
